The Stasis Foundation Biotechnology Research Park (Stasis Research Park) will eventually become a world-class biomedical research facility located in Comfort, Texas.
Currently, architectural plans and 3D modeling have been completed. Repairs and maintenance of existing facilities are in progress. Construction of the initial research facility itself has again been delayed, but will be begun as soon as is feasible.
The term “Stasis” is defined broadly as a period or state of inactivity or equilibrium. Stasis thus imparts immunity from change over time. Time is the essence of what is needed to convey precious donor organs to those who need them. No deterioration. No loss of vitality. No diminution of the precious gift of life. That is what Stasis is all about: removing the limits of time and space that presently stand between those in need and those who want to help them.
The Research Park’s mission: biomedical research and the cryo-transport & storage of living systems, such as cells, tissues, organs and organisms.
The first mission: biomedical research, will be focused on the development of unique cooling systems and transport/storage devices for the cryopreservation of cells, tissues and organs to allow long term use for transplantation, infertility treatments, anti-aging and life extension research.
The second mission: transport & storage, will include the actual banking for transplantation of materials to support fertility; tissues for regenerative medicine: DNA, including the DNA of near extinct species; whole organs for transplantation, and for additional scientific research purposes.
The Stasis Research Park is fully supported by the Stasis Foundation, a federally tax exempt 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable corporation that supports healthcare and biomedical research.
