The annual Independence Day Celebration held on July 4, 2024 begins with a bicycle parade for the younger set, followed by the perfect small town parade with antique cars and trucks, floats, fire trucks, motorcycles, bicyclists, and more, and takes place through the Historic District of Comfort.

Following the parade, the event moves to Comfort Park with a Texas style BBQ and all the fixings, an apple pie + contest, vendor booths, live entertainment, and a silent auction.
